Mental Health Forum: Improving Wellness by Connecting with Nature and Animals

IMPROVING WELLNESS BY CONNECTING WITH NATURE AND ANIMALS
This year CREST AMHI has lined up three great speakers that will talk about the power of nature and animals in improving health and well-being.
Dr. Jean Larson developed in 1992 the Nature-Based Therapeutic Services (NBT) at the University of Minnesota.
NBT is a partnership between the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The unique partnership recognizes the strengths and expertise to make the best use of resources from both integrative medicine and nature-based science. NBT provides a range of services including direct programming, training, education, research and outreach.
Title: Healing power of Nature
Description: Did you know psychiatrists are prescribing 30 minutes in nature each day for patients? It's true! Nature is a free and accessible means of wellbeing and health promotion. Sign up and learn more about the healing powers of nature.
