Guided Self-Learning Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Class
DBT is a therapy modality with the goal of help you learn to manage your difficult emotions by letting yourself experience, recognize and accept them. DBT is a team-based approach offered by intensively trained therapists. Our classes are not therapy and are led by a Certified Peer Specialist. This facilitated group setting provides a safe place to practice DBT’s foundational skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation. Classes are chance to gain and practice skills to positively impact your recovery. Classes are in The Lighthouse at 1700 Broadway Ave N, Suite 103 in Rochester. More detail is available here.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 10-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. Taught by a trained team of people who have been there, the program includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises. Everything is confidential, and NAMI never recommends a specific medical therapy or treatment approach.
