Get Involved

Advocacy efforts are essential to NAMI Southeast Minnesota’s mission to improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness. Our participation is vital to ensure the voice of people with lived experience is reflected in issues that impact them most. Staff and volunteers actively participate in work groups and committees that address issues related to mental illness that encompass topics including health care, housing, supportive employment, crisis services, mental health concerns in correctional facilities, access to treatment and more. NAMI SE MN supports the legislative activities of NAMI Minnesota and NAMI on a state and Federal level, respectively, and engages members to advocate on issues important to persons with mental illness and their families.
