SE MN A Cappella Festival
NAMI SE MN is honored to be the recipient of a portion of ticket sales for the Southeastern Minnesota A Cappella Festival on Saturday, November 17. Approximately 400 high school students from local choirs participate in the festival and the workshops that take place that day. The theme of this year's festival is "Alone Together," and is built around a statement from the headline act, Cantus: "By almost any measure, the ease and speed with which we communicate has never been greater. Yet the distance between nations, among communities, and in individual relationships only seems to widen. Alone Together explores the struggle to build meaningful connection in a world that has never been more connected.”
This year, the festival will feature a visual arts exhibit and a panel discussion hosted by Minnesota Public Radio to explore the "Alone Together" theme. Tickets are $12 and cover entry into all concerts throughout the day (11:00 a.m. Opening Concert, 1:30 p.m. Afternoon Showcase and 7:00 p.m. Capstone Concert with headline act Cantus) and the MPR panel at 6:20 p.m. Click the link below for more information and to purchase tickets. Celebrate the beauty and versatility of the human voice as we explore connections with others at this annual event.
